The Coathangers - F the NRA

I inherited some guns after my dad died.  I've never really been a gun guy, though i did learn how to shoot at a young age, and i've been around them my whole life.  And while they're not really my thing, i can understand why others would be into them.  That being said, the NRA is a garbage organization and should be shredded to pieces.  I believe the latest from The Coathangers nails that point perfectly.  Watch the video for "F the NRA" below and be sure to grab the upcoming "The Devil You Know" LP from Suicide Squeeze next month.

I don't think i've ever truly appreciated how prolific the raucous Atlanta punk trio The Coathangers are, except that i seem to be posting about a new record of theirs at least once a year.  Anyway, new album "The Devil You Know" is headed our way in March from Suicide Squeeze.  Listen to the kinder, gentler (and catchy as hell) version of the band on "Bimbo" below and pre-order the record here.

Antwon - Dying in the Pussy

San Jose rapper Antwon rode into 2013 on an excellent mixtape, "In Dark Denim," but he's been relatively quiet since.  Fortunately, Suicide Squeeze will be releasing a 7" in the very near future featuring new jam "Dying in the Pussy," a track sure to be on the car stereos and lips of soccer moms and school administrators everywhere.  Listen below.

Yamantaka // Sonic Titan

Canadian experimental-rock-opera-metal-no-wave-avant-garde act Yamantaka // Sonic Titan get the reissue treatment from Suicide Squeeze later this month, with the lovely release of their album, "YT//ST."  It's a really cool blend of styles that makes the group sound familiar, yet totally in a nitch by themselves.  Listen to "Queens" below.

La Luz
