Kali Uchis

I am always so, so late to the party on stuff like this.  It's like if there's even a modicum of main stream hype surrounding an artist, i turn my nose up at it without listening.  It's a bad habit i picked up as a teenager, and i need to quit that shit.  Anyway, i'm sure a lot of you already know the silky chanteuse Kali Uchis and her brand of R&B.  Funky and smoky and locked in a groove, the Bootsy Collins and Tyler The Creator assisted "After the Storm" is apparently totally my shit.  Watch the cool video for it below, and be on the lookout for the "Isolation" LP next month on Interscope/Virgin.

Tyler The Creator

Somehow, i managed to sleep on this for the last couple of weeks, but Tyler The Creator just released a new record called "Flower Boy," and from what i've heard so far, it's really damn good.  Listen to synthy, underground R&B leaning "Boredom" below.

Frank Ocean - Biking (feat. Jay-Z and Tyler The Creator)

There had been rumblings of a new Frank Ocean jam out there, and here it is, featuring assists from Jay-Z and Tyler The Creator.  Listen to "Biking" below.

SXSW 2014, Day 3

Thoughts, prayers, and love to all the people, family, and friends of those affected by the tragic car accident last night.  A general somberness hung over the duration of the day's shows and everyone was just a little bit nicer to each other today.

Here's a few pics from the day...

Tyler The Creator

Odd Future front man Tyler The Creator will release his new album "Wolf" in April from Odd Future's own record label.  Above is one of the three album covers (and my favorite).  Below, watch the video for first single "Domo 23."
