Uniform

Back from the coast.  Back from the beach.  Back to 100 degree weather.  And back to the grind on Monday.  So here's some appropriately despairing music from New York's Uniform and their upcoming "American Standard" EP.  Check out the noise on "This Is not a Prayer" below and pre-order the record here from Sacred Bones.

Boris & Uniform

The good folks at Sacred Bones have brought together two heavies for an excellent and heavy collaboration.  "Bright New Disease" finds the long running Japanese psych drone metal band Boris pairing their chugging riffs with the industrial noise of New York's Uniform.  The album was written and recorded during the earlier parts of the pandemic and first single "You Are the Beginning" feels like a anxious and frustrated burst of energy.  Check it out below and order the album here.

Uniform & The Body

Good news everyone!  Industrial metal duo Uniform and noisy, experimental black metal duo The Body are set to release a new collaborative album in August on Sacred Bones.  "Everything That Dies Someday Comes Back" is the follow up to last year's "Mental Wounds Not Healing," and pairing these two artists together again just made my day.  Listen to "Penance" below and pre-order the record here.

Uniform

Industrial noise duo Uniform is now a trio, and aside from having just released a collaborative album with The Body a couple of weeks ago, the band now has a new record on the horizon as well.  "The Long Walk," inspired by and named for the Stephen King novel of the same name, utilizes those same themes and abundant cynicism to decry late stage capitalism, organized religion, and the overall ugliness of the human condition.  Watch the video for "The Walk" below and pre-order the record here from Sacred Bones.

Uniform & The Body

Fresh off of last week's "I Have Fought Against It, But I Can't Any Longer" LP, experimental metal duo The Body are back again in a couple of weeks with a new collaborative album with fellow noise makers Uniform.  The Ozzy Osbourne referencing "Mental Wounds Not Healing" is sure to be another wonderful cacophony.  Listen to "Come and See" below and get the record from Sacred Bones next month.

Uniform

Uniform is the New York duo of Ben Greenberg (formerly of The Men) and Michael Berdan (formerly of Drunkdriver), a blistering combination of punk bombast and industrial shrieking.  "Ghosthouse" comes from the upcoming 12" of the same name, and it's a bleak and noisy mess, the perfect match for election season.  Listen below and grab the record from Sacred Bones.
