Experimental folk artist and harpist Mary Lattimore has a new collaborative album heading our way in March with Superchunk's Mac McCaughan. "New Rain Duets" looks to be a kind of psychedelic, neo-classical, ambient kind of thing, and going by "III," it's going to be a strange and hypnotic record. Check out the track below and pre-order here from Three Lobed Recordings.

DIÄT
German post punk band DIÄT have a new album of dark and heavy atmosphere heading our way later this month. Dig on the noisy moodiness of "We" below and get the upcoming "Positive Disintegration" LP here from Iron Lung Records.
Fawns of Love
California band Fawns of Love have a lovely dreampop/shoegaze vibe that falls in line with a ton of stuff i listen to. There's a definite Cure meets Slowdive feel to the whole thing, and i am here for it. Listen to "December" below and grab the "Permanent" LP here from Test Pattern Records.
TR/ST
It's been five years since we last had a release from moody Toronto synth pop artist TR/ST (formerly spelled as Trust), and April finally brings us "The Destroyer - 1" on House Arrest Distribution. Hopefully that means he'll be back in Austin in March for SXSW so my wife and my friend can scare him again. Anyway, listen to "Gone" below and pre-order the record here.
Jessica Pratt
It feels like it's been a while since we last heard from Jessica Pratt. Maybe? Maybe not? Anyway, her latest, "Quiet Signs," is out today, a collection of nine sparse and minimalist folk songs with an eerie, otherworldly feel to them. Her voice sounds like it's being broadcast from another dimension. Check out "This Time Around" below and get the record here from Mexican Summer.
Sunbeam Sound Machine
Australia's been cranking out an ridiculous amount of wonderful pop music over the last few years, and the latest psychedelic dreampop offering from Sunbeam Sound Machine looks to keep up the good work. Check out the dreamy, chugging "Talking Distance" below, and pre-order May's "Goodness Gracious" LP here from Remote Control.

Swan's Chamber
Georgia multi-instrumentalist Taylor Ross, has a new project coming out in March entitled Swan's Chamber. Combining elements of folk, jazz, and classical music, the record comes off as a kind of neo-classical parlor album. Listen to "Swan Three (Swan Wept)" below and pre-order the self-titled album here from Leaving Records.

Wand - Scarecrow
And it looks like we've got a new album from Wand heading our way in April, which is always a good thing. The band continues to push and morph their sound into unexpected places, with the upcoming "Laughing Matter" sounding like nothing the band has ever done before, a far cry from their raucous garage rock beginnings. Watch the video for "Scarecrow" below and be on the lookout for the new album on Drag City.
Beirut
Way back in the mid-aughts, a goddamn lifetime ago, i was really taken with the horn-infused indie folk rock of New Mexico artist Zach Condon and his project Beirut. Those early records had an Eastern European beer hall vibe that just worked for me, a sound both melancholy and celebrative, and wholly endearing. A decade plus and a few releases later, i kind of moved on to different sounds and niches, but the band's latest, "Gallipoli," brings back those horns, and i am here for it all day long. Listen below, and get the album of the same name here from 4AD.
