Boise, Idaho electronic trio Magic Sword make fantasy-themed synth wave music readymade for epic conquests and video games...basically the exact kind of music i would expect an electronic trio called Magic Sword to create.  Check out new tune "Dead Serious" below and download it here.

Daily Jam - Rocket

I think my three favorite cassettes when i was in 4th grade were LL Cool J's "Walking with a Panther," Weird Al Yankovic's "Even Worse," and Def Leppard's "Hysteria."  The '80s were a wild time man.  Here's a track from the latter to start your week.  Listen to "Rocket" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Apocalypse Dream

While i certainly dig the psychedelic synth pop disco that Australia's Tame Impala have put out the last decade, i kind of miss their more rock-oriented psych pop.  Here's one of my favorites.  Listen to "Apocalypse Dream" below, our Daily Jam.

THiQ

LA duo THiQ make a warbly, lo-fi kind of new wave synth pop with new song "Yes/No," the opening track to their upcoming debut album "The New Cats."  The track feels like it was assembled from random pieces of forgotten and decaying sonic detritus, throwback pop to a time that never really existed.  Check it out below and pre-order the LP here from the band.
