Yellow Eyes
New York experimental black metal band Yellow Eyes just dropped a new album, "Master's Murmur," a dark and weird prelude to a companion album coming our way sometime next year. The album plays like industrial folk, the sounds of creatures slowly emerging from the shadows. Check out the title track below and get the cassette here.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Red Right Hand
For the penultimate track in the October Edition of our Daily Jams, here's a song about murder. Listen to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' "Red Right Hand" below.

The American Analog Set
The American Analog Set are one of those bands i haven't thought about in a really long time. The Austin slowcore group was one of my first musical discoveries upon moving to the city for school back in 1997 and were consistently reliable for good tunes until they went off the grid around 20 years ago. But surprise, they're back. New album "For Forever" dropped yesterday and picks up right where they left off. Check out the slow burning title track below and download the album here.
Grandaddy
February will see the release of a new Grandaddy album, the first of all new material since the passing of founding member Kevin Garcia in 2017. Check out the melancholy, pedal steel featuring "Watercooler" below and pre-order the "Blu Wav" LP here from Dangerbird Records.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Satan Is Real
I know Satan is supposed to be this ultimate big bad, but i think that religious zealots are far, far scarier. Anyway, here's some gospel bluegrass from The Louvin Brothers. Listen to "Satan Is Real" below, our Daily Jam.

IDLES
UK post punk band IDLES have a new record in the works and heading our way next year in February. And on the first single, "Dancer," they've partnered with James Murphy and Nancy Whang from LCD Soundsystem. It's pretty cool. Check it out below and pre-order the "TANGK" LP here from Partisan Records.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - I'll Never Say Never to Always
Not to promote the music of a psychotic asshole or anything, but the Manson Family singing Charles Manson's "I'll Never Say Never to Always" has always been one of the creepiest songs to me. Just peacefully sinister. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Hybrid Man
Here's some cool new electronic music from Australian duo Hybrid Man that combines elements of psychedelia and balearic dreampop into the mix. In some ways it sounds like staring into the sun, and in others like the backdrop to a planetarium but with a groove. Check out "Eternal Nightglow" below and pre-order the "Dust and Liquid" LP here from Wax'o Paradiso.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Rosemary's Baby
"The Director's Cut" by Fantomas remains one of my favorite albums ever, its collision of Mike Patton, experimental metal and noise, and horror movie soundtracks feeling like it was tailor made just for me. Here's their cover of the theme from "Rosemary's Baby" for our Daily Jam. What have you done to its eyes?!

Daily Jam (October Edition) - Old Devil Moon
Here's some orchestral jazz from Ray Martin & His Orchestra for what is looking to be a gray and dreary day here in Central Texas. Listen to "Old Devil Moon" below, our Daily Jam.

Chelsea Wolfe
I probably should have realized with the release of "Dusk" last month, that we were getting a new album from dark chanteuse Chelsea Wolfe. And so we are with the upcoming February release of "She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She." Check out the album opening "Whispers in the Echo Chamber," which has some of the same trip-hop vibes going for it that "Dusk" did, below and pre-order the LP here from Loma Vista.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Haunted
Get your Halloween vibes with some horror garage rock from The Madmen today. Listen to "Haunted" below, our Daily Jam.

Danny Brown
Detroit rapper Danny Brown already dropped and wonderfully weird collaboration with JPEGMAFIA earlier this year, reportedly because his own new solo album was tied up in record label limbo. That all seems to have sorted itself out now with the upcoming release of "Quaranta." Around these parts, we are firm believers in the more Danny Brown the better, so check out new tune "Tantor" below and pre-order the record here from Warp.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Sanctuary of Death
It was raining like crazy here this morning and it's looking to be a pretty gloomy day, the perfect setting to watch horror movies and listen to horror soundtracks while i work from home. Check out the eerie analog synths of Harry Bromley Davenport's score to the 1982 film "Xtro," and listen to "Sanctuary of Death" below, our Daily Jam.

Sacred Skin
Here's some new throwback synth pop from LA duo Sacred Skin to dance in an '80s night club to. Check out "Bitter Heart" below and download it here.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Smothered Hope

Myrkur
A new Myrkur album came out yesterday? I'll be damned. The Danish artist's mix of black metal, goth, doom, and dark folk makes for the perfect kind of autumnal vibes we need around these parts. Check out "Like Humans" below and get the new "Spine" LP here from Relapse.

Daily Jam (October Edition) - Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)
As far as spooky Concrete Blonde songs go, it was a toss up today as to whether i was going to play "Ghost of a Texas Ladies' Man" or "Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)." I picked the latter...for now. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Sexores
Mexico City based darkwave band Sexores just dropped a new EP today with "Mar del Sur." I've been a fan of the group's moody, dark tones for a few years now, so this is most welcome news. Check out the late night vibes of the album opening "Magallanes" below and get the cassette here.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Stollin' After Dark
The Shades' 1959 track "Strollin' After Dark" really isn't a Halloween track so much as it's a slinky surf rock number. But i like to think it's some shady figure "strollin'" out there waiting menace some unsuspecting victim. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Bar Italia
UK alt-rock band Bar Italia already released one album this year, May's "Tracey Denim," and their following that up with another next month with the upcoming "The Twits" LP. Check out the subdued honky-tonk vibes of "Jelsy" below, a track that plays like something from a dusty old jukebox in a dream, and pre-order the record here from Matador.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Graveyard
Here's some spooky old rock n' roll rom Leroy Bowman and The Arrows for your Thursday afternoon. Check out "Graveyard" below, our Daily Jam.

Melody Fields
Did a little exploring on Bandcamp last night, with some pangs of melancholy as i don't know how much longer the site will be what it has been. Corporate America really does fucking suck. Anyway, i came across "1901," the new album from Swedish band Melody Fields, and the band's got a cool shoegaze/psych pop/quasi-Britpop thing going for them that scratches all the right itches for me. Check out "Jesus" below and get the record here from the band.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Theme from Full Circle
It's underseen, but 1977's "Full Circle," also known as "The Haunting of Julia," is pretty well made and atmospheric little supernatural horror film. And the score from Colin Towns is a nice eerie touch to the ghost story. Check out the prog and psych-tinged "Theme from Full Circle" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam (October Edition) - All Hallows Eve
It's not Halloween time, or even Autumn for that matter, if you're not listening to Type O Negative. So here they are with the seasonally appropriate "All Hallows Eve," our Daily Jam.

L'Rain
Brooklyn artist L'Rain just released her third album "I Killed Your Dog" on Mexican Summer, and i'm really digging on the dreamy vibes of "5 to 8 Hours a Day (WWwaG)." Check that track out below and get the LP here.
Daily Jam (October Edition) - Miste
It's the start of the week. I'm tired and in a bad mood. So here's some creepy music from The Haxan Cloak. Listen to "Miste" below, our Daily Jam.
