Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter
It's Friday, so why not listen to some weird new music from Lingua Ignota with her new project Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter. Daily Jam - Slip Slide Melting
A staple of my 9th and 10th grade listening and beyond, the soundtrack to "The Crow" is one of those CD's (it was the '90s) that i know by heart from front to back. Every song is a winner. And i jammed "Slip Slide Melting" by Oklahoma band For Love Not Lisa all the time, even as i've never heard a single other track by them. Anyway, check out some '90s alt-rock below for our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - The Moon
There was a really cool lo-fi folk movement in the early '00s that eventually got swallowed up by the larger indie rock boom happening at the time, but i loved those early scratchy records and tapes, by The Microphones in particular. Good stuff. Here's "The Moon," our Daily Jam.

Leah Senior
It's so unbelievably hot outside, and has been for weeks and weeks and weeks, that i'm trying to keep things cool, calm, and collected inside with the gentle, dusty folk and country sounds of Australian artist Leah Senior. New album "The Music that I Make" dropped yesterday on Poison City Records. Order it here and listen to "Pony" below.

Upchuck
I did not get the chance to check out raucous punk band Upchuck last March during SXSW, although it seemed like they were playing everywhere, which is too bad, because i'm digging on the frenetic energy of "Freaky" from the band's upcoming "Bite the Hand That Feeds" LP. Check the track out below and pre-order the album here from Famous Class Records.
Daily Jam - Gold Splatter
And now for the drippy, woozy, psychedelic sounds of Black Moth Super Rainbow to wash my mind and cares away. Listen to "Gold Splatter" below, our Daily Jam.

STOMP TALK MODSTONE
I swear, sometimes it seems like Japanese shoegaze band STOMP TALK MODSTONE release a new track every month, which alright by me, as they're all lovely. Check out new tune "Drive" below and download it from the band here.
Daily Jam - Megalomania
I've copped to the fact that i'm not super versed in the musical stylings of Black Sabbath in the past, outside of the stuff that everyone knows, and a friend of mind humbly suggested i give the band's 1975 album "Sabotage" a spin. Doing so, i think "Megalomania" may be my favorite from the record. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Precocious Neophyte
I listen to a lot of shoegaze music both old and new, and it really seems these last few years that the shoegaziest stuff is coming from artists out of Asia. Seoul's Precocious Neophyte is one of those artists. New album "Home in the Desert" is out next month. Get it here from Graveface and listen to "My Electronic Idol" below.
Daily Jam - Hooray for Tuesday
There's an Elephant 6 documentary making its way around the film festival circuit, and i'm really hoping i get to catch it at some point. Their scene was a seminal part of music education when i was in college. Here's a track from one of the groups in their circle. Listen to "Hooray for Tuesday" by The Minders below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Bright Lights
Somewhere in the past, i'm stoned off my ass and listening to "Bright Lights" by Black Mountain. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.
