Bill Callahan has been making music forever, first with his old project Smog, and for the past several years under his given name. A soothing, almost speak-sing baritone, laid over alt-country, folk, and Americana, Callahan sounds like taking a walk into the woods or the countryside and staring critically into the heart of a nation, campfire stories and laments. New album "Shepherd in a Sheepskin Vest," his first in over 5 years, drops tomorrow on Drag City. Check out "Son of the Sea" below and order the record here.

Here Lies Man
August brings us new music from LA experimental psych rock outfit Here Lies Man. Check out "Clad in Silver" below, a funky, soulful little stoner jam that feels like intro music for one bad mofo, then pre-order the upcoming "No Ground to Walk Upon" here from RidingEasy Records.

Combining elements of jazz, prog, psych, and library funk, Canadian collective Badge Époque Ensemble, which includes members of US Girls' backing band, released a flute heavy album of groove and sway. Daily Jam - Sorrow
Because of my dad, i'll probably always have a soft spot for old folk music. Here's Peter, Paul and Mary's rendition of the traditional song "Sorrow" (aka Man of Constant...) for our Daily Jam.
Black Pumas
Black Pumas are a psychedelic soul duo from Austin who make grooves for days. Their self-titled debut drops next week via ATO. Pre-order it here and listen to "Fire" below.

Tennis System
I've been a Stan for shoegaze for a long, long time now, unashamedly so. And i've certainly been digging on the genre's quiet and noisy resurgence over the last decade. LA's Tennis System falls right into that, and their upcoming album "Lovesick" gives me all the beautiful, glorious waves of heavy reverb and sound that i could want. Listen to album opener "Shelf Life" below and pre-order it here from Graveface or look for it in August.
Maladia
Here's some crusty, reverb-drenched goth punk from the UK's Maladia to wake you up today. Listen to "9th Circle" below and get the band's "Demo" here from Cold Comfort as a pay-what-you-want download or maybe snag that last cassette.
Daily Jam - Lagu Rindu
I recently discovered Indonesian psych rock band The Rollies, and so far i'm having a blast going through their discography. So, from their 1971 album "Let's Start Again," let's listen to the mellow, breezy, and soulful psych pop of "Lagu Rindu," our Daily Jam. And dig on that flute.

Radiohead - MINIDISCS [HACKED]
So apparently, some asshole hacked Thom Yorke's computer and absconded with hours and hours of "OK Computer" era Radiohead sessions and then demanded a ransom or he'd release them. The band pretty much told him to fuck off and then released all of the sessions themselves today. Now, for the next 18 days, you can download all 18 hacked minidiscs (about 18 hours worth of music) for 18 pounds, all of the proceeds going to Extinction Rebellion. In a lot of ways, this is probably just for the diehard fans, though it is really interesting to hear the germ of a song idea slowly evolve into its final form, and the funds go to a great cause. Get it all here, and stream the whole thing below. What, are you busy for the next 18 hours or something?
Poison Abbey
Here's a silky smooth pop jam from Australian artist Poison Abbey. "Upmarket" plays like something that would accompany a day at the pool, or on the deck of a boat. Yeah, it's yacht rock. Listen below and get it here Dinosaur City.
