Daily Jam - Underbelly

I will forever be a sucker for that '90s industrial rock sound...even when it's a little cheesy.  I just can't help myself.  Anyway, speaking of '90s industrial rock sound, here's UK band Pop Will Eat Itself with "Underbelly," our Daily Jam.

Sugar Horse

Bristol band Sugar Horse have knack for making intense, frenetic, and beautiful songs, a blasting mix of hardcore punk, metal, prog rock, emo, and soaring post rock.  They also have a knack for naming said songs.  And their newest single is the arena ready sounds of "Pictures of Dogs Having Sex."  Check the track out below and get it here from Small Pond.

Panda Riot

Here's a little shoegaze alt-rock pop from Chicago's wonderfully named Panda Riot.  Check out "1000%" below and get the band's upcoming "Extra Cosmic" LP here.

Daily Jam - Pink Maggit (Squarepusher Remix)

It's wild that the Deftones' "White Pony" is now north of two decades old.  Just crazy how old that makes me feel.  To mark the event, the band reissued the album along with a bonus album of remixes called "White Pony x Black Stallion."  There's a cool assortment of artists remixing the material, like Blanck Mass, Robert Smith, DJ Shadow, and more, but i really dig Squarepusher's reworking of "Pink Maggit."  Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Adrian Quesada

Austin artist Adrian Quesada, guitarist, producer, and Black Puma, just released a solo album of funky, psych-tinged Latin soul with perfect summer vibes...even if it is a goddamn inferno here right now.  Check out the Angelica Garcia assisted "Ídolo" below and order the "Boleros Psicodélicos" LP here from ATO.

Daily Jam - I've Seen That Movie Too

Here's a classic from Elton John.  Listen to "I've Seen That Movie Too" below, our Daily Jam.

Flyying Colours

Here's a little psych-tinged shoegaze from Australia's Flyying Colours to haze up your Monday.  Listen to "Wavygravy" below and pre-order the band's upcoming new self-titled album here from Poison City Records.

Daily Jam - Ala Mia Thra

Every year i come across some random or obscure record from days gone by that becomes my new quest.  Past obsessions have included '60s psych folk from Wendy & Bonnie, weird private press analog synths from Emerald Web, and a cool ass record from French artist Nino Ferrer and American singer Radiah Frye.  Keeping with the French artist theme this year apparently, as i've got my sights set on the 1971 album "La Formule Du Baron" from Bernard Estardy.  French pop meets jazz, psych, funk, chanson, and more.  Check out "Ala Mia Thra" below, our Daily Jam.
