Penelope Trappes

UK based artist Penelope Trappes has a new album of experimental and ethereal compositions coming our way in April.  "Heavenly Spheres" consists of vocals, stand up piano, and tape loops that combine for a ghostly soundscape.  Check out "Entangled" below and pre-order the cassette here from the artist's own Nite Hive imprint.

bdrmm

UK shoegaze band bdrmm are back later this year with new record "I Don't Know."  On "It's Just a Bit of Blood," the band spruce up their sound with some post punk punch and some Radiohead-adjacent melodies.  Check the song out below and pre-order the album here from Rock Action Records.

Daily Jam - Lay Lady Lay

Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay" is one of my all time favorite songs, and it doesn't matter which version or cover i'm listening to.  I love everything from Ministry's industrial rock version to this lovely gospel take on the track by The Brothers and Sisters.  Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Home of the Brave

Over a quarter century later, and Spiritualized's "Ladies and Gentlemen We're Floating in Space" is still one of my favorite albums of all time.  Here's a track from it for your Saturday.  Listen to "Home of the Brave" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Carry Me Home

It looks like a hurricane blew over my house, tree limbs and debris everywhere.  I don't know when i'm going to have the time to clear it out either.  Ugh.  So, until the sawing starts, here's Primal Scream covering a kinda obscure Dennis Wilson penned Beach Boys song to soothe my soul.  Listen to "Carry Me Home" below, our Daily Jam.

Ulrika Spacek

London band Ulrika Spacek make avant garde indie rock with flashes of post punk, the kind of stuff that would have soared in the mid-'00s.  Truth be told, it soars now too.  Check out "The Sheer Drop" below and pre-order the band's upcoming "Compact Trauma" LP here from Tough Love.
