girlfriend.
I'm digging on a lot of old school sounds this afternoon, hitting various subgenres of alt-rock, indie, and college rock. Here's some very cool grunge pop vibes from girlfriend. The band's "Carousel" LP is out in September. Pre-order it here and listen to "Trees" below.
Drug Bug
With a little bit of jangle, a little bit of psych, a little bit of lo-fi bedroom pop, and some quirky indie rock, Edmonton band Drug Bug have the weird and wonderful goods to get stuck in your ears for an afternoon. Get stuck with me and "Grapefruit Technique" below, and download the EP here.

Daily Jam - Lower Your Eyelids to Die with the Sun
It's very hard for me to comprehend that M83's third album "Before the Dawn Heals Us" can legally drink now. My god. Anyway, enjoy the epic and sprawling album closer "Lower Your Eyelids to Die with the Sun" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Sleep the Clock Around
Scottish indie pop group Belle & Sebastian are very decidedly not drug music. However, i have a distinct, yet chemically hazy, memory in college of listening to the band's "Sleep the Clock Around" from their 1998 album "The Boy with the Arab Strap," and finding it utterly transcendent for the state that i was in. (That last part was a pun for all you B&S Heads out there.) Listen to it below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Mussolini's Exit
I'm lounging at a hill country resort with my family for the next couple of days before my work schedule gets crazy. Sip a cocktail with me and toast to the death of a fascist with Alvarius B's cover of Ennio Morricone's "Mussolini's Exit." Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Spacemoth
Let's get weird with some new music from Cali-based artist Spacemoth and new album "Inward Eye." Swirling synths, funky bass, and quirky melodies abound. Listen to "Do We Exist?" below and grab the LP here from Greenway Records.
