In 1986, high school band Mr. Bungle recorded "The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo," a thrash metal arrival of sorts.  In 2020, newly reunited Mr. Bungle re-recorded "The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo," another thrash metal arrival of sorts.  The new recording features assists from Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo, and includes some songs written 35 years ago that were never recorded.  I was super busy with work yesterday and missed the album's announcement, and it seems that the most of the physical pre-orders of it have already sold out.  Boo.  I was able to hopefully procure a copy through a local record store in Austin, and i'd recommend you try the same if this sort of thing is your bag.  Anyway, listen to "Raping Your Mind" below and look for the record from Ipecac.

Daily Jam - None of Them Knew They Were Robots

I will always love the crazy and frenetic energy of Mr. Bungle, a group that started out as a bunch of ridiculously talented kids riffing on thrash metal that eventually morphed into whatever you want to call 1999's swan song album "California."  Here's "None of Them Knew They Were Robots," our Daily Jam.

And with their first recorded work in over two decades, today brings us a new track from the legendary Mr. Bungle.  A sign of the times, the band give us a rip-roaring cover of The Exploited's "USA."  It's fitting.  Listen to the track below and download it here from Ipecac.  All proceeds through July 4th go to MusiCares Covid-19 Relief Fund.

Tomahawk

I've always been pretty retarded for anything Mike Patton is involved in, from Faith No More to Mr. Bungle to Fantomas to Lovage.  Tomahawk is no exception.  The "super" group released a single for new song "Stone Letter" on Black Friday and new LP "Odd Fellows" is due in January from Ipecac.  Hooray!  Watch the video for "Stone Letter" below.
