Giraffe

I think i'm gonna go eat a salad and then veg out on the couch for a little while with a Mango IPA.  I leave you with some odd and funky psych-jazz sounds from Giraffe.  Listen to "Catastrophe Music" below and pre-order the band's upcoming "The Towering Inferno with Bongo Drums" LP here from Org Music.

Darryl Jenifer

Dig on some chilled out an laid back new jazz from Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer.  "The Weather Channel" features a bevy of other artists like jazz pianist John Medeski.  Listen to "Sacred Love II" below and pre-order the LP here from Org Music.

Geckøs

Geckøs is the collaborative project of noted indie artists M. Ward, Giant Sand member Howe Gelb, and Irish multi-instrumentalist McKowski.  The project was born from a chance encounter at a mutual friend's wedding that blossomed into a wonderful and cinematic mix of indie folk and Spanish music.  Get the self-titled LP here from Org Music and listen to the beautiful, album opening "Wedding Waltz" below.

Color Green

Here's a little mix of Americana, country, psych, and soul from LA's Color Green.  The band's new, self-titled album is out later this month.  Get it here from Org Music and listen to the cool and hazy "Ruby" below.
