I feel like there are those bands that just have that "SXSW sound," a kind of indie rock or post punk that feels tailor made for the spring and sunshine of Central Texas and the melee and chaos of the week. Brooklyn band Consumable is one of those bands. Listen to "Great Design" below and snag the new "Infinite Games" LP here from We Are Time.
Toronto band Motorists make a fun and infectious blend of new wave, grunge, alt-rock, and pop, the kind of stuff to jump around in bedrooms, garages, and music venues to. The band's new album "Touched by the Stuff" is out later this month on We Are Time. Listen to "L.O.W." below and pre-order the record here.
Here's a little jangle pop from Toronto's Motorists. "Through to You" sounds like the kind of power pop that would have been all over college radio in the '80s. Check it out below and get the band's "Surrounded" LP here from We Are Time.
