"Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" is hands down my favorite Elton John song, the instrumental first half dirge speaking directly to my soul. So i was quite delighted to find that New York instrumental stoner metal band Clouds Taste Satanic are kicking off their "Satanic Singles Series" with a cover of that first half dirge. And they're pretty faithful to the original too. Check it out below and get the 7"
here from the band. The B-side is a version of "Also Sprach Zarathustra." I'm interested to see where they go with future singles in the series.
