I don't know much about UK punk band Rudimentary Peni, having just heard them for the first time over the weekend, but they've been around for over 40 years. I guess i'm going to have some exploring to do. Anyway, in April the band is releasing a new album of songs recorded a few years back, and album opener "Anthem for Doomed Youth" feels like someone channeling the darkest parts of Ian Curtis's psyche to create some new and ugly noise.
