After checking out Italian psych-jazz-etc. band Al Doum & The Faryds this morning, i also came across Fusione, a one-off improvisational collection of sounds created by members of the band. The project features a lot of the same psych and free jazz that band makes with their main band, but it's all a little more chaotic here, a little stranger. Finding myself still sifting through the sounds of 2021 that escaped my notice, and tripping out a little bit on the cosmic freakout of Italy's Al Doum & The Faryds. The group's "Freaky People" dropped back in November and features an eclectic mix of psychedelia, free jazz, Afro-Latin rock, and spirituality.
