Iceage

Denmark post punk band Iceage dropped a new track last month, and now they've just released another along with the announcement of upcoming new album "For Love of Grace & the Hereafter" in May.  Check out new tune "Ember" below and pre-order the LP here from Mexican Summer.

Iceage

Denmark punks Iceage dropped a new track today with the kinda polished and poppy indie rock gem "Star."  Gotta assume a new album is in the works?  Anyway, check it out below and download it here from Mexican Summer.

Elias Rønnenfelt

I somehow missed that Iceage front man Elias Rønnenfelt dropped a new solo album last week.  I'm trying to catch up on "Speak Daggers" this afternoon, and i'm really digging the dubby, trippy track "Crush the Devils Head."  There's a subdued unease to it that feels just right for the fall.  Check it out below and snag the LP here from Escho.

Dean Blunt, Elias Rønnenfelt, & Vegyn

Enigmatic recording artist Dean Blunt dropped new EP "Lucre" on the first of this month featuring Iceage front man Elias Rønnenfelt on vocals, and production from regular collaborator Vegyn.  In true Dean Blunt fashion, there is next to no information about the release with the whole thing currently only streaming as one long track on YouTube with no other information.  But damn, if it's not really, really good.  Check it out below.

Elias Rønnenfelt

Iceage front man Elias Rønnenfelt just dropped his debut solo single with "Like Lovers Do."  The track incorporates elements of indie rock, folk, and country to create a toe-tapping, finger-snapping little ditty.  Iceage has flirted with alt-county and cowpunk in the past, but this new track from their lead singer goes all in.  Check it out below and download it here from Escho.

Daily Jam - New Brigade

Over the last decade, Danish punk band Iceage have managed to become one of my favorite acts out there, each successive album seeming to outdo what came before.  Just a great, great band.  Here's a track from their 2010 debut.  Listen to "New Brigade" below, our Daily Jam.

Iceage - All the Junk on the Outskirts

Here's a formerly unreleased track from Danish punks Iceage that was recorded during the sessions for the band's 2018 album "Beyondless."  That record is a favorite around these parts, so some unearthed tunes from the era are most welcome.  Check out "All the Junk on the Outskirts" below and download the track here from Mexican Summer.

Iceage

Hey, Iceage released a new track yesterday, a cover of ABRA's 2016 track "Pull Up."  As per every other Iceage release, it's cool, if not a kind of odd choice for the band to cover.  It works though.  Check it out below and get it here from Mexican Summer.

Daily Jam - Morals

We're getting a new record from Danish punk band Iceage in a few weeks, but here's an old one from the band's 2013 sophomore effort "You're Nothing."  Listen to the raw and raucous "Morals" below, our Daily Jam.

Iceage - Vendetta

Over the last decade, Danish punk band Iceage have cemented themselves as one of the artists that i'll pretty much buy anything from songs unheard.  They just keep knocking it out of the park with each subsequent release while constantly expanding their sound.  And this May's upcoming "Seek Shelter" LP seems to be no different.  Check out the video for the scorching "Vendetta" below and pre-order the new album here from Mexican Summer.

Iceage

The ever evolving Danish punk rock band Iceage, a favorite around these parts, has signed to Mexican Summer and is prepping a new album for release some time in the near future.  Yesterday, the band dropped the first taste of the upcoming album with new single "The Holding Hand," a song that crawls and builds to cacophony.  True to form, it's pretty damn good.  Check it out below and download it here.

Iceage - Lockdown Blues

Danish punk band Iceage are currently at work on a new record, coronavirus delayed though it will probably be, but just dropped a new, and very timely, single today.  Check out "Lockdown Blues" below and get it here via Escho.  All proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders.

Iceage - Broken Hours

Danish punks Iceage appear to not be quite through with us yet in 2018, dropping another new tune with the bleak and moody "Broken Hours."  Listen below, and if you haven't be sure to grab the band's "Beyondless" LP that came out earlier this year on Matador.

Iceage - Balm of Gilead

Not content with just putting out what might be my favorite album the year, Danish post punk band Iceage are now starting up their North American tour alongside The Black Lips, and they've got a new single out.  "Balm of Gilead" will appear on a split 7" with their tourmates available at the shows.  Listen to the exasperated caterwaul below.

Iceage - The Day the Music Dies

"Beyondless," the latest LP from Danish post punk band Iceage came out yesterday, and it's really damn good.  These guys have had a very steady track record since their inception, and each subsequent release seems to make their sound bigger and bigger, more expansive with this kind of brooding fire burning beneath.  Watch the video for the band's "The Day the Music Dies" below and get the record from Matador.

Iceage feat. Sky Ferreira

Earlier this year, we got to hear a brand new tune from Denmark post punk band Iceage, "Catch It," and it seemed some album news would be following.  And now it has.  The band's new record "Beyondless" is due in May on Matador.  While we're waiting for that to drop, listen to new single "Pain Killer" featuring some guest vocals by Sky Ferreira.  The two artists play well together, as do those intro horns, and i hope we can maybe get some further collaborations in the future.  Listen to it below.

Iceage - Catch It

Alright, we've got some new music from Iceage.  It's been a little while since we last heard from these Danish punks, and hopefully "Catch It" is a signifier for a new album on the horizon.  Watch the video below.

Marching Church - Christmas on Earth

Iceage frontman Elias Bender Rønnenfelt is maybe one of the last people i'd expect to record a Christmas song, but here we are with "Christmas on Earth," a song recorded for his Marching Church project.  True to form, this is not a joyous tune, but rather a self-described "carol about parental kidnapping."  Dark stuff for sure, but it's good.  Listen below, snag the 7" on either red or green vinyl here via Sacred Bones, and Merry Christmas i guess.

Marching Church

Iceage front man Elias Bender Rønnenfelt has been making music with his solo side project Marching Church for a few years, but has now added a full band into the mix on new album "Telling it Like it Is."  Kind of a hazy post-punk and Goth hybrid, the music feels dark, cold, and a little sinister.  Grab the record from Sacred Bones and watch the video for album track "Lion's Den" below.
