The New Eves

Here's some weird experimental folk from UK four-piece The New Eves.  On the band's latest single "Astrolabe," you can hear hints of Nico, The Velvet Underground, Patti Smith, The Raincoats, and more, a kind of droney, post-punk version of British folk.  Listen to the track below and download it here from Slow Dance.

Terminal Serious

Italian artist Terminal Serious is ready to drop a new album of goth, post-punk, darkwave, and death rock with the upcoming "Fear and Cure" LP on the SwissDarkNights Label at the end of the month.  Pre-order the record here and listen to the chugging, churning "Shake the Brain" below.

Trans Upper Egypt

The Drin

I've written in the past about how cool i think it is that Cincinnati has burgeoning post punk scene.  Everything about that sits right with me.  I just love it.  Anyway, one of the bands from said scene, The Drin, have a new record out later this month.  Check out the propulsive and noisy "Venom" below and pre-order the band's "Today My Friend You Drunk the Venom" LP here from Feel It Records.

Algiers

Post punk band Algiers released the excellent collaborative track "Bite Back" with Billy Woods and Backxwash last month, infusing all kinds of new sounds into their usual mix of post punk, soul, and gospel.  That was just the teaser.  February brings us new album "Shook," featuring a slew of different guest artists to shake things up (pun absolutely intended), including Rage Against the Machine's Zack De La Rocha.  Check out "Irreversible Damage" below and pre-order the record here from Matador.

Just Mustard

Ireland's Just Mustard are readying their upcoming "Heart Under" LP for release in May full of post-punk and '90s alt-rock tinged bangers to act a mess to.  New single "Still" feels anxious and paranoid, eyes on you in a smoky room, echoes and foreboding sounds.  Check it out below and pre-order the album here from Partisan Records.

Daily Jam - When It's Over

Record Store Day was split into two drops this summer, the first of which is next month.  I'm not sure how my local stores will be handling things yet, but i do know that i'm gonna get my hands on the reissue of The Wipers' "Youth of America."  The band has seen a number of reissues of their early releases put out every year on Record Store Day, and i'm hoping that's a trend that continues.  Check out "When It's Over" below, our Daily Jam.
