Ruin of Romantics

Earlier this year, Parisian band Ruin of Romantics released their excellent "Self Control + Blue Sick" single and are now following it up with the equally impressive full-length album "Velvet Dawn."  The whole thing is a beautiful and moody mix of shoegaze, goth, and darkwave synth pop.  Autumn vibes for days.  Check out the album opening "From Above" below and pay what you want for the whole thing here via Music of the Void.

Whenever you're in the mood for something sinister or a little unsettling, you can never go wrong with The Paper Chase.  The band has been on permanent hiatus for the last decade as John Congleton has become a producer and recording engineer extraordinaire, but i always find myself digging back into those old albums.  Check out the foreboding creepiness of "At the Other End of the Leash" below, our Daily Jam.

Spiritualized

Good news everyone!  It looks like we're getting a new album from Spiritualized in February.  The first taste from the long running psych and space rock legends is "Always Together with You," a song we got a demo version of way back in 2014 on "The Space Project" album released on Record Store Day that year.  At any rate, demo or studio, the song is uplifting and wonderful.  Check it out below and pre-order "Everything Was Beautiful" here from Fat Possum.
