TENGGER

Wax Machine

Kendra Amalie

Milwaukee's Kendra Amalie is one of the latest signees to the ever and increasingly wonderful psych rock label Beyond Beyond Is Beyond.  Her album "Intuition" is out in September, but in the meanwhile, watch the video for alt-rock and psychedelia hybrid "Breath Underwater" below and pre-order the record here.

TENGGER

The Myrrors

August sees the release of "Borderlands," the latest album from Arizona psych band The Myrrors, and judging from out first taste, the haunting and ominous "The Blood that Runs the Border," we may be in for dark tome, blood cast to the sands of the desert, and all of the heartbreak and menace that that entails.  Listen below and pre-order the record here from Beyond Beyond Is Beyond.

Heaters

I love, love, love when i order a record from a small indie label, and said label includes extra goodies along with my record...usually in the form of stickers and posters, but often with additional albums as well.  The good folks at Beyond Beyond Is Beyond sent along a copy of Michigan band Heaters' new album "Matterhorn" when i ordered Joel Gion's self-titled effort a couple of weeks ago, and it's a great little jangly, reverbed psych pop record.  Listen to album opener "Thanksgiving I" below and get the album here.

Joel Gion

Probably most recognizable as one of the longest tenured members of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Joel Gion has been making psychedelic rock for over 20 years.  And outside of playing tambourine for BJM, he also crafts his own excellent tunes.  His latest, self-titled effort is out now on Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records, which you can get here.  Pulling from both modern and old school psychedelia, folk, shoegaze, and even some Tropicalia, the record is an intoxicating listen, and well worth your time.  In the meanwhile, listen to the airy album opener "Zig Zag" below.
