MUNYA

Canadian dreampop artist MUNYA just dropped a couple of new versions of songs from last year's "Voyage to Mars" LP.  Check out the sunny and serene "Boca Chica (Bon Voyage Version)" below and download "Bon Voyage" here from Luminelle.

Ghost Funk Orchestra and Zitronen

And now here's a rad and funky new collaborative jam from Ghost Funk Orchestra and Zitronen.  New tune "Bedford" sounds like the music that might play when the absolutely baddest motherfucker you've ever seen walks into a room.  Check it out below and get it here from Colemine Records.

Grave Owl

I just cannot help myself when it comes to synth wave fake horror soundtracks.  And so we have "The Solar Crypt," the latest from UK act Grave Owl.  The album sounds like it could have scored some of the more gnarly flicks that came out of Italy in the '70s and '80s.  Magnifico!  Check out "Telepathy in The Solar Crypt" below and get the album here from Library of the Occult.

VISION 3D

Work will be over in a few hours.  My oldest son is in a play this evening.  And we've got some Joe Bob Briggs on the agenda later tonight.  Let's get noisy with some raucous garage post punk from Belgian band VISION 3D.  Get the band's new "Hypnose" LP here from Six Tonnes De Chair Records and listen to the title track below.

The House in The Woods

Here's some new ambient electronic music paired with some field recordings from Pye Corner Audio side project The House in The Woods.  "Where Path Becomes the Stream" feels like an uneasy mix of tranquility and dread, like something otherworldly is growing beneath us.  Check it out below and download it here.

Daily Jam - Lisa Says

When i was in college and started to explore a lot of old music that i'd never paid much attention to, i have to admit that the early Lou Reed stuff was absolutely revelatory.  Here's one of my favorites, "Lisa Says," our Daily Jam.

Why am i so shy?

Helms Alee

Seattle band Helms Alee has been chugging in for a while now, and that's great because sometimes their blend of grunge rock, stoner metal riffs, and darkened psych are just what the doctor ordered.  New album "Keep This Be the Way" is out now on Sargent House.  Listen to the title track below, download the album here, and order the vinyl here.

Chimère FM

Chimère FM is the French duo of John Cravache and I:Cube.  The two artists have teamed to create something to akin to an old alien transmission just now being received around the planet in basements and garages on old, staticky radios.  Strange electronics, cold drones, and mutant, easy listening technoid grooves abound.  It's a weird, fascinating listen.  So check out "Chimère FM," the album opening track from "Chimère FM," the self-titled debut from Chimère FM, and get the album here from Versatile Records.
