Stomp Talk Modstone
The lineup may have evolved a little bit since last year's glorious "Linger in Someone's Memory with a Lurid Glow," but the shoegaze sounds of Japan's Stomp Talk Modstone remain deliriously wonderful. New album "MEW" just dropped yesterday, and you can download it here. I'll keep you posted on a physical release when/if it happens, but in the meantime, listen to the swirling din of "I Believe" below.
Lustre
May brings us new music from Swedish atmospheric black metal artist Lustre. Things feel dark and icy as per usual, the one-man-band really crafting the kind of music to watch snow fall to. You can practically hear the wind like it's just outside your window. Check out "Phantom Part 1" below and pre-order the "Phantom" album here from Nordvis.
Daily Jam - The Wooden Song
We're dialing up some Texas artists for our jams this week and starting it off with one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite Texas artists. Dig on the Spaghetti Western vibes of "The Wooden Song" by Butthole Surfers, our Daily Jam.

HKE x ZOMBY
It's been awhile since i last listened to UK producer/electronic artist Zomby, but he's back with a new collaborative album with fellow producer/electronic artist HKE. The self-titled album feels like the soundtrack that might play on grainy, black and white footage of a destroyed civilization, the soundtrack to nuclear winter. It's ominous, eerie, and also sad. Listen to "New Rain" below and get the album here from Dream Catalogue.
Daily Jam - Underwater Theme #1
Here's some weird, underwater library sounds from composer Vittorio Paltrinieri. Listen to "Underwater Theme #1," our Daily Jam.

Los Lucha
Glasgow band Los Lucha are back with their second cassette release during this never ending pandemic, appropriately titled "Tape 2." Lo-fi bedroom psych pop vibes abound with some shades of shoegaze hissing in the back, this time around a little rawer than last year's self-titled effort, but all the nods to artists like Galaxie 500, The Velvet Underground, and Bedhead are still there. Gonna pour a cup of coffee and sit with this one for a little while. Check out "Slowly Clean" below and get the tape here from the band.
Daily Jam - Renaissance de L'amour
What time is it? It's French synth and disco time. From the 1978 album "Star Peace," here's Droids with the new age prog tinged "Renaissance de L'amour," our Daily Jam.

Rodney Cromwell
Here's a wonderful and woozy mix of synth pop, Britpop, and krautrock from UK artist Rodney Cromwell. "Memory Box" sounds like the whole world just floating away. Get the LP here from Happy Robots and listen to the title track below.
