Men I Trust
Here's a new dreamy and warbled soft rock track from Montreal band Men I Trust. Check out "Husk" below and download it here.
Daily Jam - Close to Me
Back in March, my wife won tickets for us to see Sunny Day Real Estate perform "Diary" in its entirety. It was awesome. And opening for them was fellow '90s emo band The Get Up Kids...a band i had not thought about since their heyday in said '90s. Here they are covering The Cure. Listen to "Close to Me" below, our Daily Jam.

Jim Nothing
Here's some jangly garage pop from New Zealand's Jim Nothing to cure those Sunday blues. New album "Grey Eyes, Grey Lynn" is out next month. Pre-order the LP here from Meritorio Records and listen to the excellent pop nugget "Wildflowers" below.
Daily Jam - If They Left Us Alone Now
It's hot as hell here in Central Texas today. And we've been doing housework all Sunday long. And i'm tired and i don't want to do anything anymore. So here some's '60s psych rock from Wool to hopefully help me unwind and cool down. Listen to "If They Left Us Alone Now" below, our Daily Jam.

Gnome
It feels like a good Saturday for stoner riffs and noisy psych vibes. And so we have the doom and grunge-tinged sounds of Belgium's Gnome and new album "Vestiges of Verumex Visidrome" to propel us ever forward into the sonic wilderness. Dig on the crunchy and crushing bombast of "The Ogre" below and download the album here from Polderrecords. With an album cover like that though, this sucker really needs the vinyl treatment. Someone get on that ASAP.
Daily Jam - Ictus
I was 12 years old when the Seattle grunge scene exploded in the early '90s, and it was a huge part in shaping my music taste both then and now. I still love that scene and that era. And one of the more nationally underappreciated acts of the time was Tad. When talking to folks from the Pacific Northwest, i've been led to believe that it was actually Tad who were the hometown heroes of the time, more so than the Nirvanas and Pearl Jams of the world. That's wild, but also kinda tracks with the vibe of that city. So let's listen to some Tad. Here's "Ictus," our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Table for Glasses
Still busy as hell at work, but got some awesome wings for lunch with a bunch of co-workers, so everything's going to be alright. Here's Jimmy Eat World with "Table for Glasses," our Daily Jam.

Wand
LA band Wand already released the excellent "Vertigo" LP earlier this summer, and now they've got more new music heading our way in October with the "Help Desk / Goldfish" EP, featuring those new tracks along with some remixes. Check out "Goldfish" below and pre-order the album here from Drag City.
Daily Jam - Zarathustra: L'ultimo Uomo
Man it's been a long day. Time to kick back with some weird '70s Italian prog rock. So take it away Museo Rosenbach. Here's "Zarathustra: L'ultimo Uomo," our Daily Jam.

The Submissives
Here's some great and kinda quirky punk/post-punk from Montreal band The Submissives. Check out "Obsessed" below and order the new "Live at Value Sound Studios" LP here from Celluloid Lunch Records.
Daily Jam - Regret
Typically when i listen to New Order, i stick with the band's seminal '80s output. But i'm branching out into the '90s today with a track from the 1993 album "Republic." Listen to "Regret" below, our Daily Jam.

Yoo Doo Right
Montreal's proggy post rock trio Yoo Doo Right are back in November with new album "From the Heights of Our Pastureland." Dig on the awesome and terrifying album cover art above and listen to the epic, album opening "Spirit's Heavy, But Not Overthrown" below. Then be sure to pre-order the LP here from Mothland.
A.M. Blue
A little over a decade ago, Adam Miller, then of Chromatics fame, recorded the blueprints for what would eventually become a collaboration with the San Francisco synth pop band Cold Beat. And so we have A.M. Blue. Check out the hazy "September" below and download it along with B-side "Annie" here from the band.
CASTLEBEAT
"Stereo" is the latest release from California artist CASTLEBEAT. The album dropped at the end of July, and is the perfect kind of synthy dreampop swoon to wind down these last few summer days to. Check out the wistful "Anyone" below and get the LP here from Spirit Goth.
Daily Jam - Dancing Is Dangerous
The same year that Sparks released their excellent "No. 1 in Heaven" LP, they also produced the debut and solo full-length album from American disco and electro-pop singer Noel. 1979 was pretty much a banner year for the brothers Mael. Listen to "Dancing Is Dangerous" below.

Haunted House Party
It's never too early for Halloween jams or enthusiasm. Our decorations have been us since Labor Day, and the weather in Central Texas has been unseasonably cool the last couple of days. Autumn vibes abound. So here's the latest from Haunted House Party, purveyor of dusty, spooky beats. Check out "Hallowed Ground" below and pre-order the 7" here from Strange Daisy.
Daily Jam - Stay Positive
Work has been insanely busy for me since the middle of July, and while it's finally starting to slow down a little bit, i'm still exhausted...and my brain is a fine mush. Music will help me get through it all. Here's UK rapper The Streets with "Stay Positive," our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Future Vessel
Pretty weird to think that "Being John Malkovich" is 25 years old now. It may be my favorite movie of 1999, and that was one hell of a year for film. Anyway, here's a track from Carter Burwell's melancholy score. Listen to "Future Vessel" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Slide Away
Since their reunion tour announcement, there's been a whole lot of Oasis being played on the radio, along with co-workers computers at the office. And that's fine. I like Oasis alright, but no one ever seems to play one of my favorites, the penultimate track on their 1994 debut "Definitely Maybe." So if you want something done, i guess you just have to do it yourself. Here's "Slide Away," our Daily Jam.

Hatchie Covers Billy Idol
Australian dreampop artist Hatchie just dropped a new single today, the B-side of which is a cover of one of my favorite songs of the '80s, Billy Idol's "Eyes Without a Face." Honestly, i'll take any version of this song i can get, and Hatchie's dreamy rendition is lovely. Check it out below and get the new "August / Eyes Without a Face" single here from the artist.
Daily Jam - Absolute Beginners
It's my 16th wedding anniversary with Paige today. We're going to celebrate by eating some sandwiches from Jersey Mike's and then going to our 8-year old's soccer game. Such is life at 45. In the meantime, here's David Bowie with "Absolute Beginners," our Daily Jam.

Slowdive Remixed by Grouper
Earlier today, Slowdive dropped two remixes of last year's stellar track "Kisses." Check out the dreamy, ethereal Grouper mix below.
Daily Jam - Love Conquers All
It's been a long day. Here's a little '60s garage nugget from the Evil "I" to set me straight. Check out "Love Conquers All" below, our Daily Jam.

MJ Guider
New Orleans based artist MJ Guider crafts experimental sound collages utilizing tape loops, field recordings, and samples paired with elements of dreampop, shoegaze, ambient, and drone. It all makes for a murky yet transcendent listen. Check out new tune "To the Hour" below and download it here from Across The Horizon.
The Body
Portland experimental metal duo The Body have proven to be quite prolific throughout their career. 2024 has already seen them release an excellent collaborative album with Berlin based electronic artist Dis Fig, and now November brings us a more traditional record from the duo (as traditional as you can get with the ever experimenting and innovating band). Check out the ominous and noisy "End of Line" below and pre-order "The Crying Out of Things" here from Thrill Jockey.
Daily Jam - July
I was working until a few minutes ago. And my wife to our youngest to soccer practice. And my oldest is playing with his friends. The house is empty except for me and the dog right now. Think i might spend a little bit of time with my eyes closed listening to Low. Here's "July," our Daily Jam.

CS + Kreme
Man do i still miss Australian band Devastations. The moody indie-rock trio disbanded in 2010, but their members still pop up from time to time on different projects, so i guess that will just have to do. The latest is the upcoming new album from CS + Kreme, the CS being Conrad Standish of Devastations. Along with Sam Karmel, the duo make experimental folk, drone, and noise. Check out the beautifully quiet and somber "Corey" below and pre-order the upcoming new album "The Butterfly Drinks the Tears of the Tortoise" here from The Trilogy Tapes.
Daily Jam - Stumbling Block
Among the cool, older stuff i've stumbled upon this year, one of the hippest has been the late-'80s/early-'90s New York alt-rock band Love Child. Contemporaries of bands like Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Galaxie 500, and more, the trio made noisy, crunchy college rock for Gen X earholes. Check out "Stumbling Block" from the band's final album "Witchcraft" below, our Daily Jam.

Duster
'90s slowcore band Duster reunited a few years ago and have been having way, way more success the second time around, and they just dropped a surprise new album on Friday called "In Dreams." It sounds like a Duster album. Check out the album opening "Quiet Eyes" below and get the record here from Numero Group.
Daily Jam - Ride Captain Ride
It's Sunday, and i'm putting up Halloween decorations a full two months before the holiday, and i'm listening to Blues Image's "Ride Captain Ride" while doing it. You should too. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.
